Refund policy

Returns & Refunds Policy

GymCentral is committed to your satisfaction. This policy explains your rights and our process for returns, refunds, and exchanges.

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights under the ACL.

Change of Mind Returns

We understand that purchasing gym equipment is a significant investment. If you change your mind after receiving your order, the following conditions apply:

  • Return window: You must contact us within 7 days of receiving your order to initiate a change of mind return.
  • Condition: Items must be unopened, unused, and in their original packaging with all accessories, manuals, and components included. Items that have been assembled or used cannot be returned under this policy.
  • How to initiate: Contact our support team first to receive a return authorisation and the correct return address. Do not send items back without this authorisation — unauthorised returns cannot be accepted.
  • Return freight: Return postage and freight costs are the customer's responsibility. We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured service, as GymCentral cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.
  • Original delivery cost: GymCentral offers free delivery on most orders, however the cost of outbound delivery is built into the sale price and is non-refundable. This cost will be deducted from any store credit issued.
  • Restocking fee: A 15% restocking fee applies to all change of mind returns, calculated on the original invoice price. This fee covers the cost of receiving, inspecting, repackaging, and returning the item to stock.
  • Store credit: Approved change of mind returns are issued as GymCentral store credit, valid for use on any future purchase. Store credit does not expire.

Example: If you purchased a treadmill for $1,500 and wish to return it under our change of mind policy, a restocking fee of $225 (15%) plus the original outbound delivery cost would be deducted from your store credit.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives damaged, develops a fault, or is not as described, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos and a written description of the issue.

Under the Australian Consumer Law:

  • Major failure: You are entitled to choose a full refund or replacement.
  • Minor failure: We will arrange a repair or replacement within a reasonable timeframe.

In all cases involving a fault, damage, or incorrect item, GymCentral will cover the cost of return freight.

Items Not Eligible for Change of Mind Returns

The following cannot be returned under our change of mind policy:

  • Assembled or used equipment
  • Items not in original packaging or missing components
  • Hygiene items (e.g. resistance bands, foam rollers, grips)
  • Clearance, final sale, or heavily discounted items
  • Bundles, unless the complete bundle is returned in full
